Please protest this. The programs funded by the NEA include things like your child's field trips, local concerts, performances at local schools and senior centers, town festivals, and more. These are LOCAL programs that many people don't even realize are funded by the NEA. It will make no difference to the budget to eliminate them, but a huge difference in the culture of our country.

It emerged over the weekend that Donald Trump is moving forward with his plans to axe the National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities (which partially funds NPR and PBS), the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and other programs as he looks to prune public spending.
