Memorial Day is more than a long weekend.

More than burgers on the grill.
More than crowded lakes.
More than travel plans.
More than mattress sales pretending to be patriotic for 72 hours.

Memorial Day exists because thousands of families had empty seats at their tables long before we filled ours.

Today is a reminder that freedom has always carried a cost.

We pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to this country, and the families who still carry that sacrifice forward.

We remember. We reflect. We give thanks.

The generation doesn’t need more content, they’ve seen it all before. What they’re looking for is what actually cuts through: clarity, usefulness, honesty.

The new playbook is about credibility.
If it feels overproduced, they scroll.
If it feels real, they stay.

Telling stories is an art. And like any art, it can be studied, refined, and improved.

Most people think storytelling is about better cameras, better edits, better visuals… but the truth is, the story comes before all of that.
If you want to improve your storytelling, start here:
• What are you trying to say? What should someone feel when it’s over? If you don’t know this, the audience won’t either.
• The best stories are simple. One message. One takeaway. Everything else supports it.
•People don’t remember facts, they remember how something made them feel. Think about mood, pacing, and tone.
• Perfect isn’t the goal. Real is. The more natural and honest it feels, the more it connects.
• Watch content differently. Ask yourself why something held your attention or made you feel something.
