I am thrilled to announce the new Northrop Realty CARES initiative, to raise monies for The Northrop Realty Greenhouse, which will help support a farm-to-table approach for Patriot Point, a relaxing and safe retreat facility for our nation's wounded, ill and injured service members, their families, and caregivers. The Northrop Realty Greenhouse will grow a steady supply of nutritious greens and vegetables to help improve the physical health and emotional well-being of our recovering Veterans and their families. In the past month, I conducted NorthropU training sessions for Northrop Realty agents, with a key objective of providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how to market and message to the various generations. During the classes, we explored each generation’s demographics, psychographics, communication channels, and media consumption patterns. I also shared customized marketing tactics and messaging that can effectively engage each generation, boost brand loyalty, and ultimately drive sales and business expansion.

Does “brand purpose”—the notion of expressing clear support for values like diversity, equity and inclusion as a way of demonstrating what a brand stands for—still hold sway over consumers? Or In this moment of economic anxiety, are price and performance the two things a brand should focus on?

There can be negative ramifications for brands that double down on inclusive marketing if the messages being advertised don’t match up with how the company operates behind the scenes.

Brands need to be purposeful, making a genuine approach, and not jump on the bandwagon just because it seems like the thing to do. Brands need to authentically open the aperture and realize that inclusivity is not trendy but a reality.

Great brands have advertisements that connect to their audience. They are not only memorable and informative, but they contain valuable content that compels their target audience to respond to the call to action. If they are entertaining, bonus!
