Anyone remember the TV show H.R. Pufnstuf from 1969?? Because apparently my brain decided tonight was the perfect time to dig up a deep cut:

They sang this song in the show-

🎶 “Oranges, smoranges, who said?
Oranges, smoranges, who said?
There ain’t no rhyme for oranges!” 🎶

Fast forward to the Freeport Merchants Association’s May social… and suddenly it’s a full citrus takeover. Lots of people showing up in orange like we all accidentally joined the world’s happiest fruit basket.

So now I have questions:
Do we sing it out loud?
Do we just hum it awkwardly near the snack table?
Or do we accept that “smoranges” is now officially a networking strategy?

Either way… if you hear someone quietly singing about oranges in the corner, no you didn’t. 🍊😄
