Video, like any other form of marketing, should be created with the intent of solving a problem. Making a video for the sake of having a video is about as effective at getting sales as burning the money you spent on it. Actually, if you filmed yourself burning your money, you might get more attention (please don't do that!)
The point is, you need to have a well defined goal and benchmark for success. After that, you need clear and strong messaging that drives your video towards that goal. Comedic gags, dramatic slow motion, and sweeping drone shots are all great, but if they don't serve your message and, you guessed it, your goal, then they are ultimately worthless. You're better off saving that money and investing it in stronger writing.
Video is a great marketing tool! Learn how to use it right and it can do wonders for your brand and business growth.
