DPR is proposing changes to pesticide registration rules. The proposal adds new 3 CCR sections 6170.6, 6170.7, 6170.8, and 6173, and amends sections 6000, 6148.5, 6152, 6153, 6154, 6157, 6170, 6170.5, 6193.5, 6194, 6196, 6206 and 6252. The changes require electronic submission of pesticide registration applications, clarify information requirements, establish application types, and reduce fees for notifications. Written comments are due no later than October 5, 2026. Registrants and PCAs working with registration filings should review the proposed sections before submitting comments. The State Water Board released its final draft update to the Bay-Delta Plan, covering the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Watershed. Water right holders would need to meet environmental standards through either the voluntary Healthy Rivers and Landscapes program or a regulatory pathway. The plan would facilitate $2.9 billion in restoration actions and restore more than 27,000 acres of aquatic habitat. Written comments on the proposed amendments are due Sep. 18. The board will consider adoption at a public hearing Oct. 28-29. Growers and water right holders in the Delta watershed should review the draft now and track the comment deadline.
