These two design elements help ensure your finished project looks its best after it's trimmed.

๐Ÿ”ด ๐๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ extends your background or images beyond the finished size. For ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ, the bleed is ๐Ÿ/๐Ÿ–" (๐ŸŽ.๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“") ๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ฌ. This helps prevent unwanted white edges caused by slight variations during trimming.

๐ŸŸข ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐€๐ซ๐ž๐š is where important informationโ€”like text, logos, phone numbers, and QR codesโ€”should stay. For ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ, keep these elements at least ๐Ÿ/๐Ÿ–" ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ž๐ ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž so they aren't trimmed too close.

โœ‚๏ธ ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ ๐‹๐ข๐ง๐ž is where your finished piece is cut. While commercial equipment is very accurate, slight variations are normal, which is why bleed and safe areas are so important.

A little extra space makes a big difference in professional printing!

Not sure if your file is set up correctly? We're happy to review it before printing.

Here are four issues we see most often:

๐Ÿ“ท Low-resolution images can print blurry or pixelated.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Screenshots usually don't have enough quality for professional printing.

โœ‚๏ธ Missing bleed can leave unwanted white edges after trimming.

๐Ÿ“„ Wrong file type can affect quality or formatting. Vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG) are best for logos, while PDFs are usually the best option for finished print projects like flyers, brochures, and business cards.

Not sure if your file is print-ready? We're happy to take a look before production!
