Before founding Houston Apparel Co., I spent years on the purchasing side of marketing, ordering promotional products and branded apparel for events, employees, customers, and community initiatives. One thing that always frustrated me was never having a trusted partner I could call for guidance. Every order felt transactional, and when I needed creative swag ideas, I was often left to figure it out myself while juggling a hundred other priorities.

Another challenge? Women's apparel options were almost always an afterthought.

Time after time, I was presented with the same basic polo shirts and limited choices. There was little consideration for fit, style, comfort, or what people would actually want to wear. Branded apparel shouldn't feel like a uniform destined for the back of a closet.

That's one of the reasons Houston Apparel Co. was created.

This week, I attended 2026, and it reminded me just how far a relationship, a partnership, and a business can grow.

Last year, Houston Apparel Co. was trusted with attendee, speaker, and participant shirts for this same conference. It was one of the first large-scale projects CYBR.SEC.Community entrusted us with, and a major milestone in our partnership.

Fast forward to today.

This year, Houston Apparel Co. became the primary branded merchandise and swag provider for the conference, helping bring their vision to life through thousands of lanyards, bags, koozies, t-shirts, tumblers, pens, tablecloths, speaker gifts, volunteer vests, staff apparel, and more. We also now power their online gear shops across multiple divisions under the CYBR.SEC.Community brand.

Walking the conference floor yesterday and seeing our work woven throughout the attendee experience was a surreal moment.

But the biggest takeaway wasn't the products.

It was the reminder that the best business relationships aren't built on a single quote, order, or event. They're built by showing up consistently, listening, delivering, and earning trust over time.

I'm especially grateful to Lauren Andrus for taking a chance on Houston Apparel Co. over 2 years ago, and to Mary DiFiore-Smith and Sheridan Skurupey-McDonald for continuing to strengthen that partnership. Working alongside all of you has been an absolute pleasure.

Yesterday felt monumental, not because of the volume of products we delivered, but because it showed what's possible when two organizations grow together.

When I set goals for 2026, I knew I wanted growth. What I didn't anticipate was just how quickly things would scale.

August delivered the highest revenue month in Houston Apparel Co. history and the most significant growth the company has ever experienced.

At the beginning of the year, my number one goal was simple: reinvest in the business, improve operations, and build a company that could scale sustainably. The journey has been exciting, challenging, and at times overwhelming, but seeing the results makes every long day worth it.

None of this would be possible without our incredible clients, partners, and supporters. To every new customer who trusted us for the first time, every returning client who continues to choose us year after year, our amazing vendor and business partners, and everyone who has referred Houston Apparel Co. to colleagues, friends, and organizations, thank you. Referrals are one of the greatest compliments a business can receive, and your trust and support have played a huge role in this growth.

One lesson I've learned this year is that growth isn't just about increasing sales. It's about building the systems that support that growth.

Another fun project for BKV Energy! ☔️💙

This one was especially fun because the rain jackets were made from a material that required a different approach than we're used to, and let's be honest, everything is cuter when it's tiny!

We had the opportunity to create these custom BKV-branded Reima raincoats from Outdoor School Shop for a local Houston preschool, and the finished product turned out adorable. 😍 We love working with clients like BKV Energy who trust us with such a wide variety of branded apparel projects and always bring creative ideas to the table.

We hope the little ones have lots of fun splashing through puddles and making rainy-day memories in their new raincoats.

Houston Apparel Co. is proud to be the official Spirit Wear and Swag Provider for Haygood Elementary in Fulshear!

This partnership has been about a while in the making, and seeing it all come together has been rewarding. From the very first conversations to launching the online spirit shop, we've loved working alongside Briana Brame Copeskey and Andressa Bacerra and the amazing Friends of Haygood PTO to create apparel that celebrates school spirit.

Over the summer, we worked closely with the Haygood PTO to create spirit wear that parents, teachers, staff, and students would actually be excited to wear. We launched a custom online shop, families placed their orders, and then before we knew it, Meet the Teacher was here and hundreds of items were ready for pickup!

We also love that this partnership gives back. A portion of sales goes directly to the PTO, helping support programs, activities, and opportunities for Haygood students throughout the year.

The best part? The spirit shop stays open year-round, so whether your student hits a growth spurt, needs a new sweatshirt when the weather cools down, or just wants another favorite design, it's always available.

A huge thank you to the Friends of Haygood Elementary PTO, administration, teachers, staff, students, and families for trusting Houston Apparel Co. We are honored to be a small part of such an incredible school community and can't wait to see all that you accomplish this year!

One thing we've learned over the years: branded apparel only works when people actually want to wear it.

Most companies mean well when ordering apparel for their team, but we've all seen how it goes: one shirt, one color, one fit. Some employees love it. Others wear it once, then it quietly finds a permanent home in the back of the closet.
