An embroidery of John Prine in his younger years that I completed in September for a dear friend. The piece was embroidered in a hoop using two layers of fabric so I could cut around his figure to reveal the burgundy cotton beneath. It was so fun to experiment with using etoile floss and beading.

DMC floss on cotton fabric stretched over a wooden disk padded and backed with wool felt.

It's finally cool enough to go outside and take semi-decent smart phone pics! Also, this embroidery is killing me 🙃
