🎨 Still working on my little Creative Crow mascot. I was inspired by a tutorial from where she crafted little cats from random plots of watercolor. As I worked, I realized these little crows reminded me of the Susuwatari, or Soot Sprites, featured in Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro (second image). Which, is actually a great way to look at these little creative helpers. This is my first round, but I'm liking the whimsy of these cute corvids.

Why do I need these pint size doodles? Well, I am going to be guiding clients and those I engage with through some quasi-complex ideas when it comes to brand building and design. For example, I am writing up a relatively simple workbook to develop brand voice, a key element for consistent communications. The Creative Crows can be scattered in to demonstrate and highlight key points. Small but meaningful ways to connect words with concepts.

Just another day putting together the pieces.

🔎A little preview of what I have been working on. Turns out the flower for is the hibiscus 🌺. Funny enough, I've been working on scanning in some of my favorite work, which includes traditional media. The red hibiscus and banana leaves graphic was my final project for the illustration class at . Using photos from various trips, I collaged together the bloom and foliage. Layers of markers, color pencils, paper and acrylic paint kept me up all night until class time. It felt so good to bring together such a complete composition, even got a round of applause during feedback in class (I did not sleep a wink until I got home). Hard to believe I never did a high resolution scan. So excited to bring this to my etsy shop! I never thought I would be able to so easily render this into a .

🌸✨ Something new is blooming…

I’ve quietly opened my Etsy shop—a place where art, storytelling, and seasonal rhythms come together.

It’s a soft launch (read: gentle, imperfect, intentional), but the first pieces are live with my Rain Lily collection. I wanted to explore how this favorite wildflower can go beyond it's traditional colors, adding seasonal colors and backgrounds.

I'd love for you to take a peek!

More coming soon, but for now: thank you for cheering this into being. 🪶

The longest day. The softest light.

Every year, the Summer Solstice arrives with a kind of hush. A pause that glows. And right around this time, my favorite summer bloom makes her quiet entrance: the Treat’s zephyr lily.

These little bursts of light begin to appear in May, but it's in the shaded corners—tucked beneath oak limbs or garden edges—that they hold on through June. Like a secret you’re lucky enough to spot if you’re paying attention.

I wait for them every year. And every year, they show up.

This image will soon be available in cards and prints. Working hard to set up my shop featuring work that celebrates themes like native Florida beauty and the seasonal rhythms I find myself increasingly rooted in.

Here’s to long light, quiet blooms, and pockets of magic in each day.

Took a little creative field trip to Bok Tower Gardens this weekend for their fairy festival—and you know, it was exactly the kind of magic I needed.

Between the bell tower echoing in the oak trees, the trails winding through lush landscapes, and people dressed as enchanting sprites, I felt something click. This is the kind of beauty that Crow Blossom Creative is rooted in: quiet wonder, timeless craftsmanship, and a sense that the land itself is part of the story.

One of my goals this year? To visit more of these Old Florida landmarks—places with soul, history, and natural inspiration. It’s where I recharge and where ideas bloom.

A part of my journey has been accepting my authentic self—which, you know, includes being an elder millennial who remembers laughing and cringing at the the Portlandia sketch “Put a bird on it.”

But honestly? I did put a bird on it. And it's going to take flight!

Crow Blossom Creative is the name that emerged when I finally gave myself permission to build a creative studio that reflects who I truly am: poetic, strategic, story-driven… and unafraid to dig into the shadow and the bloom.

The crow is a symbol of intelligence, transformation, and watchful curiosity. The blossom is growth, intuition, and quiet power. Together, they represent how I approach branding and design: intentional, thoughtful, and a little bit mythic.

If you’re a founder or organization ready to bloom—and want a guide who sees the story behind the strategy—I’d love to connect.

🌸 Introducing Crow Blossom Creative
When curiosity leads, ideas bloom.

Over the last few months, I’ve been shaping something new — a design studio rooted in strategy, symbolism, and story. Crow Blossom Creative is where I bring together years of design experience with a poetic eye for what makes a brand feel alive.

This identity isn’t just a logo — it’s a foundation for thoughtful work. The kind of work I want to offer to nonprofits, community orgs, small businesses, and publishers. If you’re building something beautiful, meaningful, or mission-driven — I’d love to help you bring it into visual alignment.
Let me know what you think — and if you’re curious about working together, feel free to reach out. I’m currently booking discovery calls. ✨

I’m currently in the process of building out my full website and social channels, but in the meantime, you can explore the full brand guide on Behance:
