Todayโ€™s program featured an outstanding presentation from Amelia Bell, APR, CPRC: "From Uncertainty to Alignment: Keeping Employees Grounded When Everything is Changing."

Amelia shared valuable insights from her experience navigating mergers and acquisitions, highlighting how strategic internal communications can reduce uncertainty, strengthen trust, and keep teams aligned through periods of change. Attendees learned how to build a clear narrative, equip leaders and managers with effective communication tools, and maintain consistency from Day 1 through integration.

As communications manager at Evergen, Amelia leads corporate communications strategies that support employee experience, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational transformation. A long-time FPRA member, she is a Past-President of the Gainesville Chapter, LeadershipFPRA alumna, and recipient of FPRAโ€™s Doris Fleischman Award. Thank you, Amelia, for sharing your expertise with our chapter!

We also celebrated by pinning a new member. Welcome, Kyler Burk!

We will see everyone at next monthโ€™s Professional Development Seminar โ€” another exciting opportunity to connect and grow professionally together!

Do people ever ask why you stay involved in FPRA?

There are many reasons we work hard to make our Chapter successful, but at the top of the list is this: we truly believe community makes both life and work better. Having people to celebrate wins with, brainstorm alongside, and lean on when things get tough is invaluable.

Part of building a strong community is supporting one another, so we're excited to share that FPRA Gainesville is offering two partial scholarships to help local PR and communications professionals attend the 2026 PR & Comms Summit.

๐ŸŒŸ The PR & Comms Summit Scholarship will award two FPRA Gainesville members partial registration scholarships to attend the 2026 PR & Comms Summit, taking place August 9โ€“12 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate โ€” a $550 value.

๐Ÿ“… Applications are due by June 19.
