Kani Bassey is an award-winning, highly accomplished Marketing & Social Media Strategist with a broad history of developing and implementing comprehensive traditional and digital marketing and communication plans. With over twenty years of marketing experience, Bassey's experience has included the rebranding of the largest community college in Maryland, marketing digital media buys for nationwide 529, and the Alaska 529 college plans using Audience Manager DMP tools to hyper-target and reach consumers in their space. Bassey teaches several workforce development marketing courses and conducted social workshops on social media management and branding. Bassey’s curriculum for social media management is currently taught at community colleges. Bassey is currently completing her final research on "Social Media and Community College International Student Engagement" which she hopes will make a positive difference in the international student experience.
