Quick market research question — would love to know your thoughts. What do you think about Instagram removing ‘Likes’ as a feature?
The intention is to “reduce anxiety” and “reduce social comparison” while giving people more space to focus on connecting with the people and things they love.
Will it change your company’s content strategy? Without the real-time vanity metrics of ‘Likes’ how will you measure your success?
As a marketer, I am curious to see the impact the loss of ‘Like’ data will have on the algorithm, how IG will control fake followers (especially as influencer marketing continues to grow), how much of an uptick total comments per post will increase, as well as if the platform dips in any key usage stats.
