or most of her life. She did hand embroidery before she used a machine, which she learned at age 11 from her grandmother. She has created her own patterns and even has a patented medical device she created when no other existed to help her, then, 2 year old son. At first sewing was for personal use, home, and family. Gift giving became the next outlet for her sewing. Before owning an embroidery machine, she used to link programmed stitches in her sewing machine to create embroidery designs. Embroidering for a few years now, she has taken numerous classes, workshops, and weekend retreats to develop her skills and techniques. Amy volunteers monthly teaching digitizing (embroidery programming) at her local dealer.
