"I'll never work in sales." I've said this more times than I can count. I've been offered sales roles multiple times in my career, but I ran away from them like they're the plague. But now, sales is actually my primary job. And, like most businesses, the success of my business depends on it just like it does for all and .
How did I make the switch from being sales-adverse to making it my career?
1️⃣ I built a business I can believe in. It has a mission I can get behind (making communities better). And it has a structure where everyone wins.
2️⃣ I recruited an experienced and professional team who shares in the mission. I'm selling the value our roster of professionals brings instead of my own experience.
3️⃣ I'm not selling services, products, or features. I intentionally sell outcomes and solutions as a partner in success. It's a lot easier (both for me and for the client) to tell success than it is to sell services.
