Lots of places to get your tea fix today!

Good morning tea fans!!!!
It is such a beautiful morning already. And we're excited to see you today.

Lisa is set up at the Clayton Farm and Community Market and will be there until 1pm. She has a selection of our loose leaf teas and iced tea by the cup. She also has some hot brewed samples for you to try.

At the tea shop in Downtown Garner we're open until 3pm today. We have a huge selection of loose leaf teas and our Tea Fusion Bar is OPEN. We've got 3 samples hot brewed ready for you to try today (Classic Chai, Jurassic Jungle Green, and Tummy Calm). We're open until 3pm today.

Last night at Wake County Speedway was one of those nights where I kept looking around and realizing just how CLASY the whole dang thing was.

Our friends and CLASY Partners at Wake County Speedway were hosting the 94.7 QDR 165, Josh Rhyne & SilverTones was playing the Rock the Ring pre-race concert with Brady's Pub & Sports Bar helping sponsor it, Prime Brothers Butcher Shoppe was there giving away two raffle baskets with $100 gift cards, and Garner Elite Softball was the night’s 50/50 charity.

Then there was our CLASY Partner Phoenyx Kimball Racing out there racing, with fellow partners Black River To***co Company and Rush Hour Karting among the local businesses sponsoring her. Moonrunners Saloon is a sponsor at the Speedway. And somehow in the middle of all of that, we also got a classic Pontiac car show AND weather that finally cooperated!

What struck me wasn’t just how many CLASY Partners were there. It was how many small businesses were supporting each other and the things happening in their community.

They sponsor the driver. They support the track. They help bring in the music. They donate the prizes. They raise money for the nonprofit. They show up.

That’s the part of small business that I wish people could see more often. Your dollars don’t just stay inside the four walls of the business you spend them with. They have a funny way of showing back up all over your community.

And last night, they were ALL OVER Wake County Speedway.

Thank you to Wake County Speedway for giving us a place to all come together. That was one seriously CLASY night. ❤️

There’s something about a Friday night at Wake County Speedway that takes me straight back to being a kid in the 80s.

Just good, wholesome, simple fun. And the racing hasn’t even started yet.

Kids get to walk out on the actual racetrack, check out old classic cars, listen to a band, dance with Checkers, eat snow cones and then absolutely LOSE THEIR MINDS over the candy drop. Seriously, you would think they were dropping cash from the sky.

I love that Wake County Speedway has created a place where families can come out, spend a night together and kids can just be kids. Watching it all feels like a little throwback to a simpler time, and I adore it.

I have a LOT more to show you from everything that went on at the Speedway last night, but the kids and families deserved their own spotlight first. ❤️

If you're new around here, here's something worth knowing about CLASY.

We question things.

“That's how we've always done it” has never been a particularly good reason for us to keep doing anything.

We have one pretty simple lens: Does this put small business first?

Not somewhere in the mix. Not included because they're supposed to be. First.

If it does, we're all in.

If it doesn't, we're going to question it. Rethink it. Change it. And sometimes buck the tradition altogether.

We don't have much allegiance to the status quo, established systems or the way things are “supposed” to be done.

Our allegiance is to small business.

That means we'll rock the boat when the boat needs rocking. We'll ask the uncomfortable question. We'll do it differently when differently puts small business in a stronger position.

Because keeping things comfortable has never been the goal.

Putting small business first is.

So that State Championship ring South Garner senior Maddox Krotzer got at halftime last night? Let’s talk about just how impressive the young man wearing it is.

Maddox is a TWO-TIME NCHSAA State Champion in the high jump. He holds the North Carolina high school record at 7'4.25". He won Nike Outdoor Nationals. He represented Team USA at the U20 World Championships and finished FOURTH IN THE WORLD. 🇺🇸

That is a pretty ridiculous list of accomplishments for a kid who still has his entire senior year ahead of him.

Loved getting to catch the ring ceremony last night and celebrate one of South Garner’s own.

Congratulations, Maddox! And senior year? We’re watching.
