I went to an estate sale today for a local known artist. Among the sale was a box of slides, many from travels, but also family gatherings. As I work on the Mother Wound project this year, I'm reflecting not only our connections to women in our family, but also what is lost or left behind. It's interesting to think that we swarmed this artists studio like flesh eating bugs cleaning a carcass - and all this "sentimental" detritus remained for us to pick clean.

Who is she? Which is sort of a big question in my Mother Wound monolith- and trying to answer that.
