I used to try and clean things up mid-flight—fixing systems, processes, and pipelines while the business was still sprinting forward. But I’ve learned that patching broken systems doesn't create clarity. It just extends the confusion.
At some point, you have to pause. Step back.
Ask the hard questions.
What are we actually trying to do here?
Why are we using six tools to do what two could handle?
Why does everything depend on me?
