Here’s how I shoot the best content for my food + bev clients:

Lighting
If the sun’s out, I’m drenching food and drinks in it. It adds dimension, highlights texture, and makes everything look way more appetizing. Pro tip: shoot right next to a window.

Start with perfectly plated food
I always start with the food fresh and untouched. Presentation matters, and this is what people expect to see when it hits their table.

Messy movement
Then we have fun. Take bites, pull things apart, pour drinks, dip into sauces. Food doesn’t move on its own, so you have to make it.
