Commemorative Stamp Design - Marie Curie 🧪☢️

Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win two, was a groundbreaking Chemist and Physicist, and an all around bad b*tch. She discovered the elements Radium and Polonium, as well as radiation, all without a proper lab and no PPE. She also invented a way to mobilize x-Ray machines for use on the battlefield of WWI to prevent unnecessary loss of limbs. She died at age 66 from the radiation she so casually handled.

I illustrated Marie Curie and gave her a glowing effect from the radiation. Radium and Polonium’s valence electron configurations glow in the background, and the bones of Curie’s hands are visible like an X-ray.
