Thanksgiving is always a good time to reflect on gratitude, but the Whittington Consulting team thought it would be good to share what we're thankful for through this difficult year. Here's what our Senior UX/UI Web Designer, Alana Kucharski, had to share:
"I have so many blessings to be thankful for in the midst of a challenging year. My health and that of my family, that I still have a job in this turbulent economy, friends who were willing to think outside of the box so we could still meet safely during a global pandemic, and one of my favorites: I'm going to become an aunt for the first time in January 2021! The extra time at home has afforded wonders for my garden, which I'm proud to say produced a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Sadly, I lost my 33-year-old cousin to cancer in August, but I'm grateful I was able to spend time with her in the months leading up to her passing. Amidst all of the heightened safety precautions, I had the honor of being by her hospital bedside when she took her last breath. We had a beautiful memorial for her, and her passing has only brought our family closer together. For that, I am thankful."
What are you especially thankful for this year?
