Here is the initial design exploration for the redesign of Project Alpacany website. We delved into two distinct directions: a fun and quirky warmth, and a serious aspiration. After receiving feedback from the board, it was evident that everyone favors direction 2.

In our process, in addition to performing user research, creating the information architecture, and wireframing, we'd first explore 2–3 visual design directions, using the first half of the homepage as a gauge before proceeding. This approach allows both us and the clients to determine what aligns best with their brand. This is particularly important as we primarily work with early-stage startups and nonprofits, often lacking an established brand and requiring more extensive exploration.

Thank you Google Women Techmakers Ambassadors program for the design sprint activity at Code Next Lab. Facilitated by Shameeka, two speakers shared their career journeys to help us empathize with our personas, and then we proposed 4 different ideas on how we could further improve the problems women in tech face. In particular, our group Team 4 proposed a sub-network within WTM ambassadors for established tech leads, where we could form peer groups and meet twice a week to support one another. Hope to see some of these ideas come to life! And I’m so glad to have met new tech women in NYC πŸ’›

It's Monday 1:39am. In my insomnia and out of curiosity, I just did a search for the NYT app in the Apple app store and can see that my babies are still there after 8 months 😝! So happy that my design is still being used even though it was so controversial at the time during design review *phew*
