Driving back from a concert late at night on Hwy 22, we rolled through Cranfills Gap and there it was — a mural we painted a couple of years ago, all lit up in the dark.

One of those moments where you just smile and say, “Hey… we painted that.”

It’s easy to move on to the next project and forget about the ones behind you… but moments like that remind us these walls stick around. They become part of a place, part of someone’s drive home, part of a town’s story.

Pretty cool feeling seeing it still shining. ✨🎨

Brought the pr***en daughter/granddaughter to be our helper. 🎨

Her main contributions included lounging in a chair, scrolling her phone, and looking overjoyed with the working conditions.

Apparently murals are a lot less fun when you find out the job involves… actual work.

Good thing she was there to supervise. 😂

Does anyone else hold their breath when they’re outlining… or is that just a mural painter thing? 😅🎨

Every time I’m pulling a long, crisp line off a ladder or scaffolding, I catch myself like —

deep inhale
steady hand… steady hand… don’t blink… don’t breathe…

As if oxygen is the one thing standing between me and a perfectly straight line.

By the time I step back to admire it, I’m lightheaded and questioning my life choices — but hey, the outline is clean. 😂

Two levels of scaffolding, a two-story wall, and a steady hand bringing this sign to life. There’s something pretty satisfying about seeing an old sign turn into something bold and finished.
