️⃣I’d start making founder content. Not because I want to be an influencer, but because people connect with people. I’d talk about what I know, what I believe, what I’m seeing in my industry, and what I’m learning while building the business.
️⃣I’d focus on building a brand, not just making content. I’d get really clear on what I want people to associate with my business, how I want them to feel when they come across it, and what makes us different from everyone else doing something similar. You can make content all day long, but if people don’t remember who you are or what you stand for, you’re just feeding the algorithm.
️⃣I’d share the most interesting parts of my life on Stories. Not every detail, and not in a way that feels forced, but I’d let people see the things that make me interesting outside of the business too. I really think we’re in the “interesting era” of social media right now. AI can give you information, write a caption, and even make pretty content, but it can’t replicate your actual life, your opinions, your experiences, your weird little interests, or the way you see the world. That’s the stuff that makes people want to keep watching
️⃣I’d build an actual text list. Email is great, but I’d also be collecting phone numbers and finding reasons to connect with customers through text.
️⃣Jayden Daniels said do not touch this number.
️⃣I’d get really clear on what I want to be known for. Before I worried about making prettier graphics, I’d decide what three things I want someone to immediately associate with my business. Your content gets much easier when you know what reputation you’re trying to build.
️⃣I’d use my customers as part of my marketing. Reviews, testimonials, tagged photos, FAQs, customer stories, before-and-afters, real reactions. Some of your best content is probably already being created around you.
️⃣I’d focus way more on being recognizable than going viral. I don’t need 500,000 random people to see my business once. I’d rather have the right 5,000 people see me over and over again until my business becomes the obvious choice
