Here's a peek behind the lens from Buffalo, NY.

Two days at the Buffalo Private Equity Summit kept our cameras busy with panels, speaker interviews, crowd reactions, and the conversations that keep New York's investment community connected. After hours, we let the city steal a few frames: the architecture, the waterfront, and a downtown with momentum to spare.

Campbell County, Virginia is 511 square miles of agricultural land, small towns, lakeside living, and suburban corridors all in one place. When it came time to tell that story in one unified voice, they chose BLKDOG out of 57 agencies competing for the project.

We built the new brand from the ground up, running in-person site visits, community workshops, and stakeholder interviews that directly shaped a messaging platform, visual identity, and marketing plan rooted in the county's own history and economic ambitions.

The result is "Tradition Meets Tomorrow," a brand that honors Campbell County's roots while positioning it for what's next: more visitors, more investment, and a stronger sense of home for the people who already live there.

Lake County, California holds 645 square miles of public land, from orchards to shoreline to backcountry, and the County Administrative Office needed a clear way for visitors to find their way in.

BLKDOG built KRT Konocti Regional Trails, a mobile-forward system with AllTrails integration that turns that scale into something navigable while giving the county data on what keeps people coming back.

While Alexis accepted a New York State Tourism Industry Association Excellence Award for our recent web work for Washington County NY Economic Development and Washington County NY Tourism, Jesse presented the finished brand to the key stakeholders at The Hollywood Partnership whose early insight helped shape it.

Since 1899, the Steep Rock Association has protected more than 5,700 acres of Connecticut land, acre by acre, decade by decade. Yet their online presence hadn't kept pace with the scope of that work.

Our expertise with nonprofit organizations gave us the tools we needed to modernize and optimize the Steep Rock Association's site for mobile, giving visitors a faster, clearer way to explore trail maps, land history, and ways to get involved.

This is a project where design meets legacy: a century of land protection, made easier to access for the next generation of hikers, members, and donors.

Washington County's employers stretch across manufacturing floors, healthcare systems, and family farms, from The Fort Miller Group, Inc. and Saint-Gobain to Hudson Headwaters Health Network, Telescope Casual Furniture and beyond.

That range meant opportunity, but no single platform showed it clearly to the job seekers, students, and families looking for it. Washington County NY Economic Development brought BLKDOG in to expand the county's tourism site, connecting people to employers, not just attractions. Through storytelling, employer spotlights, career pathways, and training resources, the site shows what it means to live and work in the county, strengthening the workforce pipeline and local economy.

We're proud to share that this September, we'll be in Corning to accept a Tourism Excellence Award for this project from the New York State Tourism Industry Association, recognized for Excellence in Transformational Tourism Stewardship: Workforce Development.
