Tonight Kate spoke at an event she co-organized with Assemblymember Carrie Woerner and Queensbury Deputy Supervisor Jean Lapper to honor the life of feminist icon Gloria Steinem.

It was a beautiful tribute to a life’s work that has made a major impact on how we live our lives as women today.

We carry our torches forward, lighting those of our daughters, friends and fellow community members.

Nancy and Bill Turner brought the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall and 9/11 Memorial Wall to Glens Falls. It’s on display now through August 23 in Crandall Park and it is incredibly moving. The opening ceremony is tomorrow, Friday, August 21, at 10 a.m. Whether you’ve lived through it or just heard about it, this is a must see. Bring tissues. It was an honor working on the advertising and publicity for this project, and I am so appreciative of this power couple and all of the hard work they do for our community and their vision in bringing this here to us.
