Here at Neighbor of Honor, we truly believe that the men and women who answered our nation’s call embody the ideals Americans hold so dear. Because they have proven their devotion to their fellow citizens and to a grateful nation, we all owe them the same respect and devotion in return. NOH provides support financially and in numerous other ways to Veteran Non-Profit Organizations who share the sa

me goals as NOH, which is to increase awareness of the struggles many Veterans suffer. With a focus on PTSD among our Veteran community, we also strive to improve the quality of life for Veterans and their families who are transitioning from military to civilian life and addressing Veteran homelessness. By providing a monthly newsletter directly to Veterans, NOH can link them to local and national resources to help meet their needs that may not otherwise be covered thru the VA or other federally funded programs, connect them with businesses who want to show their support or looking to hire within the Veteran community.

Every day can be cold and dark.....if you let it........ DON'T!!!! There is a positive (a Pearl) in every day, in every situation you just have to see them, some days it's harder than others but, if you look hard enough they are there.

You have already survived the worst days of your life and you are still here, which tells me you are a survivor,! You've already battled, NO DOUBT IN MY MIND YOU CAN DO THIS, you were trained for this.

I fight the same demons as you every day but, I promise you my brothers and sisters, I will fight them demons for you, I WILL MARCH SIDE BY SIDE BY SIDE YOU....If we march side by side, we will defeat them and collect our pearls together.

We didn't take that oath just to give up!!! IGY6!!!!

Whatever your situation is, whatever you are going thru, there is a positive, they are called pearls, you just have to find them. Remember Pearls start with a little irritation (sand) that had to be overcome but, they are worth it.

Collect your pearls every day because you deserve them! Before you know it, you'll have more pearls than negatives.

Every day begins with an act of courage and hope: The objective is for the past to become a very tiny part of your very large, confident, capable, and free self.

Remember to do your buddy checks and also, remember, it is not a sign of weakness but, a sign of courage to reach out for help when the Demons are too much to handle alone.

There are over 18 million Veterans in the USA, while you go out , have a fun time celebrating America's Birthday, go home and sleep soundly and feeling safe, please remember all those Veterans that gave you this opportunity, remember those Veterans not out celebrating because the noise and crowds are to much and just hoping they survive the night, pray for the 40,000 plus sleeping on the street, wondering where their next meal will come from......but yet, when the chips are down, those Vets will have your back.... many of you can't say the same for them!!!

As you celebrate the 4th, remember the men n woman who made that possible and fought to protect your right, think about the Veterans, those serving and their familes,the 37,000 plus Veterans sleeping on the street who sacrificed so you can have a bbq!

THE FOUNDING
Since its official establishment, June 14, 1775 — more than a year before the Declaration of Independence — the U.S. Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of the American nation. Drawing on both long-standing militia traditions and recently introduced professional standards, it won the new republic's independence in an arduous eight-year struggle against Great Britain. At times, the Army provided the lone symbol of nationhood around which patriots rallied.
