Last week, we spotlighted the U.S. Forest Service’s proposal to strip protections from 45+ million acres of national forest by rescinding the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. For 45 million reasons — including recreation, wildlife, clean air and water, wildfires, and more — rescinding the Roadless Rule should not happen. It’s a direct attack on our foundational infrastructure: the pristine backcountry driving our community, products, and industry.

[1] Sara Grant 📍Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve
Nothing felt more wild than stepping off a tiny bush plane five months pregnant to drop my husband into the Alaskan backcountry for five days of skiing. Our pilot said he's only dropped about 50 people on that spot over the past several decades, and even he still seemed a little awed by how remote and untouched it was. (Also shoutout to our partner for leading the experience.)

[2] Amy Hume 📍Grand Teton National Park
We love our national parks! Last month we visited our daughter, who was a kayak guide in Jackson. This was special because it was mid-July and the parks were very crowded, but on our 10-mile float we only saw one other boat! Having this peace and serenity while having a great adventure and these amazing views was heaven!

We had a party of 5 on what was supposed to be a chill 5.7 multi-pitch that went awry and ended up being more of a 5.10 run-out slab situation 😂 After some route finding, simul climbing, double rope shenanigans, and a dropped approach shoe, we made it to the top safely and had a dance party at the top!

[3] Iris Hrabe Ritzert 📍Kings Canyon NP, Roaring River Falls
I measure a good hike in waterfalls. This one wasn’t even at the end of a hike, but the refreshing, uncrowded swim made it one to remember. I definitely don't stick to the rivers and the lakes I am used to and love finding new falls and cascades in every NP.

OKAY now, ladies. 👏 International Women's Day 2026 is almost here, and this year’s theme, Give to Gain, hits home for us.

Meet . 🎣 🍕 🏂 When he’s not shaping captivating stories and high-impact designs as our Creative Director, you’ll find him navigating the backcountry, chasing trout on a fly rod, or scouting the best pizza and root b**r in the Rockies.

Born and raised in “The Mitten” (Michigan), Jonathan eventually traded the Great Lakes for the high country of Colorado, drawn by the promise of sunnier days and wilder adventures.

A true creative chameleon, Jonathan brings over 15 years of experience to the team, with a career that has spanned the full spectrum of brand, digital interactive design, creative strategy, and experiential. He has a seasoned history of directing video shoots and managing large-scale event production on the world’s biggest stages—including CES, Shanghai Auto Show, and many other global events. Today, he translates that high-level expertise into sharpening how we show up, helping our brand and our partners execute effective, world-class designs.

Jonathan balances creative campaigns and production management with a life lived outdoors. If he isn’t at his desk, he’s likely splitboarding through fresh powder, hitting the ice for a hockey game, or finding a new section of river to explore.
