🌅 TGIF — From SUNY Orange to My Trip to Fishkill, NY 🚕🧠

My Fall semester at SUNY Orange 🍂🎓 has me thinking differently about the everyday trips I make. After remembering what I learned in my summer Psychology class 🧠, I’m now connecting Intermediate Algebra ➗ and Computer Literacy 💻 with experiences outside the classroom.

As a person living with TBI 🧠💙, I don’t drive. Transportation 🚕 is part of my routine, including my trips to Fishkill, NY. My smartphone 📱🗺️ helps me follow the route, understand where I’m going, and stay organized along the way.

That reminds me of problem-solving in Algebra. ➗📝 You have a starting point, a destination 🎯, information to work with, and steps that help you reach the answer.

I use a similar mindset as an SEO strategist 📈🔎. SEO is another journey: understand where a brand is today, decide where it needs to go, study the data, choose a strategy, and adjust the route when necessary. 🚀

From Goshen ➡️ SUNY Orange ➡️ Fishkill, everyday transportation can become another learning experience. 🚕📚

🌅 From Summer Psychology to My Fall Semester at SUNY Orange 🍂🎓

My summer Psychology class 🧠 taught me to look at everyday experiences differently. Now I’m bringing that mindset into my Fall classes: Intermediate Algebra ➗ and Computer Literacy 💻.

As a person living with TBI 🧠💙, I don’t drive a car, so transportation 🚕 and technology 📱 are important parts of my everyday routine. One of my homework examples immediately felt familiar: imagine getting a ride home in a friend’s car 🚗 while using your smartphone 🗺️📍 to figure out the directions.

It reminded me that problem-solving isn’t only something we practice in Algebra. ➗📝 We use it every day.

And I recognize the same process in my work as an SEO strategist 📈💻. Whether I’m finding directions or developing an SEO strategy, I start with a destination 🎯, look at the information available 🔎, choose a route 🗺️, and adjust along the way. 🚀

My TBI journey, college education, mental-health content, and work with Memorable Design may look like different parts of my life, but they continue teaching me the same lesson:

Looking back at my summer days at SUNY Orange, my Psychology class 🧠📚 helped me see mental health, emotions, behavior, creativity 🎨, and my own experiences from a new perspective. 💭💙

Now a new chapter begins! 🌅🍂 My first Fall classes bring new challenges and opportunities:

Here’s a cleaner carousel caption that ties the summer Psychology chapter, your first Fall classes, your mental health/TBI story, and the Sheriff’s Office wellness event together:

🧠 From Psychology to a New Fall Chapter 🍂🎓

Looking at this carousel, I see more than photos—I see different parts of one journey.

This summer at SUNY Orange, my Psychology class gave me a new way to think about mental health, behavior, emotions, creativity, and the way our experiences shape us. Those lessons became part of how I tell my story as a mental health content creator and TBI survivor.

Now the Fall semester has started, and my mornings look different again. 🌅

➗ Intermediate Algebra is teaching me patience and step-by-step thinking.

💻 Computer Literacy is helping me build the digital skills I can use in content creation, branding, and my work with Memorable Design LLC.

At the same time, projects like Goshen grooves and the wellness event connected to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office remind me that mental health isn’t only something we study—it’s something we support through community, movement, conversation, creativity, and showing up for one another.

💙 Even When It Hurts, We Keep Going — TGIF

Sometimes things hurt. 😢 Sometimes life doesn’t happen the way we expected. But one thing I reminded myself this TGIF Friday is simple:

We keep going. 💪✨

🌅 From Summer Psychology to My First Fall Classes 🍂🎓

Today was my first day of the Fall semester at SUNY Orange, and looking at these photos reminds me how one chapter of learning connects to the next. 💙

During the summer, my Psychology class helped inspire the way I think about mental health, emotions, creativity, and the stories I share as a mental health content creator. 🧠✨ Those summer lessons became part of my memorable journey at OCCC.

Now, a new chapter has started. 📚🍂

➗ Intermediate Algebra — challenging myself to think step by step and solve problems in new ways.

💻 Computer Literacy — building digital skills that can connect with my creativity, content creation, and future work.

🧠 And the lessons from Psychology are still coming with me.

🧠 Nobody Told Me How Life Works—So I Started Learning

Nobody gave me a handbook for how life works. But when I started studying Psychology at SUNY Orange 🎓, I began asking different questions about myself, other people, emotions, behavior, and the experiences that shape us.

As a mental health content creator, I’m learning that my story doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Every class, challenge, creative idea, and memorable moment gives me something new to reflect on. 💙

And soon, another part of that journey will bring me back to Squarespace Circle Day ⭕️—connecting my life as a student with my work in branding, SEO, design, and storytelling.

🧠 Psychology taught me to think differently.
