Wilcox Newspapers is hiring writers, reporters, and delivery drivers
Wilcox Newspapers is looking for several dependable people to join our team as we transform our Monthly Shopper publications into three community newspapers published every other week.
The publications will cover these areas:
* Huron Valley: Highland, Milford, Hartland, White Lake, East Brighton, and New Hudson
* Lakes: Commerce, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, Walled Lake, West Bloomfield, Wixom, and Wolverine Lake
* Waterford: Waterford, Dixie Highway, and Union Lake
Writers and reporters will develop story ideas, cover local news, and write articles about their assigned area. Work can be done from home, and hours are flexible. Pay is based on article length.
Delivery drivers will deliver an average of 3,000 newspapers to 100–200 local businesses along one or more of 10 established routes. Deliveries take place Thursday mornings. Pay ranges from $150 to $300 per issue, per route.
No experience is required for either position, though experience in writing, journalism, or delivery is a plus. Both roles require reliable transportation, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to meet deadlines.
