In his words the conversation begins:
"As far as music, I mean it's music and I grew up listening to all genres and all different kinds of artists. It's just like once that rhythm gets control of you it's just like there's no stopping it. And it doesn't matter what kind of mood you're in or how you're feeling, once that bass hits or that beat catches it just grasps your attention. Now as far as myself, I got influenced by the late great Heavy D, just the way he rhymes on the beat and just the smoothness, and then he also gave me that confidence that big boys can move, and we can rhyme, because I also grew up dancing before I decided to do music. The main reason why I'm in the industry is mainly just because I have a story to tell and I want the world to hear and understand my story.
Plus, I make party music and that's just a whole different feeling when everybody can party and cry and laugh to your music and it just gives you a whole different feeling and purpose almost like a high in a positive way. That's why I'm in the music industry" -Kollin King (Heavy Laawd)
