Common Ground Music & Arts Festival Case Study.
This project was one for the books. I was so honored when LFMG Music Academy asked me to brand a new music and arts festival, debuting in Montrose, Colorado.
With the end of Country Jam, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to build an accessible, free and diverse music festival, right off highway 50.
The initial discovery for Common Ground included a board discussion that expressed bringing youthful vibes, to an all ages crowd. The branding needed to be relatable, and visually convey artistic diversity, with a uniting aesthetic.
This lead to exploration of hand rendered type marks with characters ranging from condensed, thick, short, tall upper & lower case, with the final mark creating a union of diversity, all AI free.

A big shout out to the LFMG Music Academy board for making this thing happen. It was an honor being able to help with this festival and see it all come to life. Multiple bands and festival goers expressed how professional and visually put together this festival looked, for only being year one.

I cannot wait for next year.
