New research from our team!
We analyzed AI citation data from Bing's new AI Performance Report across 15 sites and 7 industries. Over 365k AI citations in total.

Bing is providing early insights on which queries trigger AI to cite your content inside Copilot, Bing AI Summaries, and their partner integrations. It's the first time a major search engine has offered this level of transparency.

A few highlights from what we found:
- 87% of one site's citations came from a single piece of content.
- Login and portal queries dominated citations across nearly every vertical.
- 76% of citations for a B2B manufacturer were earned on non-branded queries, signaling great authority.
- In travel/tourism, events drove 25% of citations, while lodging sat below 5%
