As many of you know now, the world lost Aaron Schaut last week. While the TIS orbit knew Aaron as our lead developer and solutions architect, his skills went far beyond. He was a vivid, layered person who is difficult to summarize, which honestly was his gift. He was a musician, author, devoted animal lover, and a friend to more people than most of us probably realized.
In his nearly 14 years with TIS, Aaron challenged his team to both think deeply and laugh fully in equal measure. There are people who do their jobs well—on time, on spec, few complaints. And then there are people who, when handed a problem, look relentlessly for ways not merely to solve it, but to make it better than imagined. Aaron was the second type. Every time. That’s who he was. His teammates knew it. His clients knew it. And Rob and KT knew it more than most.
Aaron touched many lives during his time on earth. He was with TIS long enough to know everyone who ever walked through our doors beginning at our first office on Wealthy and Diamond; long enough to become part of the foundation of what this place is. While he was his own man who went his own way, he left something real behind for us.
To Aaron’s wife Michele, mom Paula, sister Carolyn, brother Jesse and to everyone who knew and loved him: We are so deeply sorry for this incredible loss. It’s far too soon.
To Aaron: Thank you for everything. We’ll carry it forward, my friend.
Many of you know that Aaron’s wife Michele runs an animal rescue. As we grieve this loss together, if you’d like to support Michele, whether for funeral expenses or other needs in the days ahead, please consider making a donation using the link in our bio.
