Vanessa Sinclair, Website and Marketing Analytics Specialist at Mercantile Bank, is sharing her real migration story to HubSpot's CMS. She'll be diving in to how she rebuilt her site to meet users (and AI) where they are.

Two years ago, Brandon Lawson, joined 1 Bold Step. The HubSpot practice hasn't been the same since.

Brandon leads our HubSpot team, and his superpower is making complicated systems feel simple. When something breaks, he fixes it. When someone doesn't know how to use it, he teaches them. When the platform changes (and it always does), he's already figured it out.

His approach is the same whether he's troubleshooting a workflow or training a client: keep the people at the center, and let the technology do the rest.

But honestly? He's got a second superpower. Most mornings, our team logs in to a Slack message from Brandon welcoming everyone to the day. It sounds small. It isn't. He genuinely brings the sunshine!

Outside of HubSpot, Brandon brings two more credentials to the table: a deep appreciation for tattoo artistry and a video game library that we strongly suspect is better organized than most CRMs. 🎮

One year ago, John Lawrence joined 1 Bold Step to keep the wheels on, and he has nailed it from day one.

Every time someone thinks, "I didn't have to think about that because it just worked,” it’s a win! We couldn't be more thankful.

This past year, he took on something new. John has been running our Friday standups, keeping the team aligned, on track, and occasionally laughing before the weekend.

Turns out the guy who makes sure the office runs smoothly is also pretty good at making sure the team does too.

Originally from Northern California, fully adopted by West Michigan (Bay Area sports loyalties remain firmly non-negotiable 🤷).

1 Bold Update!! We're thrilled to welcome Adam Henderson to the 1 Bold Step team! 🎉🙌

Adam has a rare gift: he can zoom out to see the full CRM strategy and zoom in to build the automation that makes it run. He's the kind of person who looks at scattered, chaotic data and sees the clean, scalable system hiding inside it.

He's managed portals, built workflows, run campaigns, and even orchestrated major industry events behind the scenes. If it touched HubSpot, he probably optimized it.

At 1 Bold Step, he'll be doing what he does best: designing HubSpot solutions that actually fit the way businesses operate. Less chaos, more clarity, and systems your team will actually want to use.

Many hands make light work. Here's what many BOLD hands can do 💪🏻

From hauling canoes and kayaks across camp to cleaning up the beach, staining and painting buildings, installing docks, and even rescuing a few baby turtles along the way, we loved getting our hands dirty alongside the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids team at Camp Manitou-Lin.

Thank you for having us out again this year. The beautiful grounds and incredible staff had a lot of us feeling nostalgic about our own camp days! We're grateful we could play a small part in keeping this place ready for the kids who make memories here every summer. 🏕️

Seven years ago, Danielle was employee #3.

No processes. No playbook. No one to tell her how running agency operations was supposed to work. So she documented it all.

The filing systems. The workflows. The thing you didn't even know needed an SOP until it had one.

(She also adopted plants nobody asked for. And somehow kept them alive.)

Last year, she became a mom. And honestly? That baby has no idea what's coming. The most organized household in GR.
