Smithsonian-recognized photographer Sean Griffin moved to Anderson Island in 2014 because he found the island so conducive to the kinds of photography he loves - portraiture, landscape, wildlife and fine art. He does everything from senior photos to fashion and product photography in his island studio as well as at a variety of locations outdoors. He also volunteers his time and talent to creating
remembrance photos for parents whose babies will not be coming home from the hospital. And he offers free individual or family portraits to anyone beginning a cancer journey. His photograph, "The Crossing," was awarded Grand Prize in the 2016 Anderson Island Photography Contest. He publishes an acclaimed Anderson Island Calendar each year, featuring 12 or more stunning images of island life. Calendars are available at the Anderson Island General Store, Anderson Island Cafe and the Johnson Farm Gift Shop. They can also be purchased online by PayPal-ing $24 (which includes shipping and handling) to [email protected]. Framed prints of his images grace the walls of the Anderson Island Cafe and are available for purchase. Although he moved from the island in 2020, he still maintains his photography business there, and is available for photo sessions and special projects. At sean-griffin.pixels.com, customers can purchase his photography printed on paper, metal, canvas, acrylic or on a variety of surfaces ranging from shower curtains to iPhone and Galaxy cases.
