Tired of inquiries from people who can't afford your services?

Your website is probably attracting them.

When your site doesn't clearly communicate your level of investment, you get inquiries from everyone—including people who will never book.

Here's how to filter for the clients who are actually ready to invest.

Be clear about your investment level. "Investment begins at $X" immediately filters. People outside your range self-select out.

Show your process in detail. High-value clients appreciate thoroughness. Budget clients want quick and cheap.

Curate your portfolio strategically. Only show the work you want more of. Elevated work attracts elevated clients.

Use sophisticated design and language. Your website's aesthetic signals your price point.

Require a discovery call. Serious clients will take the time. Price shoppers won't.

Your website should pre-qualify clients before they ever reach out.

Ready to redesign your site to attract the right clients? Get in touch to discuss your project.

A beautiful website and a website that books clients are not the same thing.

I've seen stunning sites with empty inquiry forms. And straightforward, well-structured sites that convert consistently. The difference is almost never aesthetics.

It's strategy. Knowing who you're talking to. Knowing what they need to feel before they'll trust you enough to reach out. And building the site around that — not around what looks impressive.

This is why every project I take on starts with a conversation, not a canvas. The design follows the strategy. Always.

If your site looks right but isn't performing, I'd start with a Website Audit. Get in touch and let's take a look.

Clocked in: building brands and websites, homemade lattes fueling my day, true crime playlists and a new Bravo obsession (thanks to ) in the background, and endless color inspiration

Clocked out: Friday lunch dates, chasing the littles, needlepointing, dream boat shopping, and weekly visits to my favorite nurseries

A look at what's been coming out of the studio lately.

Brand and web projects, each one built around the business behind it. Different industries, different directions — but the same intention in every one.

Still so grateful for the work I get to do!

If you've been thinking about a refresh, link in bio has the details.

There's usually a moment when you know.

You go to share your website link and you hesitate. Not because anything is technically wrong, but because you've grown and the site hasn't followed. What's there still works — it just no longer feels like you.

That gap tends to grow on its own. Services evolve, the caliber of your work shifts, your ideal client changes. The website stays the same.

If any of the signs in this carousel felt familiar, a Website Audit is a good place to start. It's a clear look at what's working, what isn't, and where to focus. Get in touch if you'd like to learn more.

On my screen recently…

The past few weeks have kept me busy with some coding, moodboarding, sketching, client & discovery meetings, typography refinement, and a design intensive day. Thankful for a busy month of April and looking forward to May!

Typography is one of the first things I look at in a brand audit and one of the most common places things break down.

It's rarely about the fonts themselves (but sometimes it is 👀). It's usually about whether there's a system. When heading sizes blend into body copy, or fonts shift from page to page, something feels off, even if a visitor couldn't tell you why.

A few things worth knowing:
Hierarchy gives the eye a path. Headline, subheadline, body, consistently in that order. When everything reads at the same weight, nothing lands.

Two fonts used well will always outperform five used loosely. A serif paired with a sans-serif is a reliable place to start.

Line spacing matters more than most people realize. Body copy that has room to breathe is easier to read and easier to trust.

Centered body copy is harder to read than left-aligned. When in doubt, left-align and move on. Especially if it's a large body of text.

Consistency is what holds it all together. The same styles, in the same places, every time. That's what makes a brand feel cohesive.

Save this for your next refresh, or get in touch if you'd like a second set of eyes on what you have now.

Thankful for a year of growth. A year of struggles. A year of wonderful clients and opportunities. Another year of chasing my dreams.

This year has pushed me as a designer, as a mom, as a business owner… and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings for S&S.
