After three unforgettable years, The Rush Event Center & Amusement Park will be closing our doors for good at the end of September. 💙💛

It’s been a good run, and we’ve had so much fun bringing the fun to Evans, Greeley and the surrounding community. We are incredibly thankful for every birthday party, go-kart race, round of mini golf, trip to the batting cages, arcade game and memory made here over the past three years.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to our amazing staff who helped make The Rush what it is, and to every customer, family and member of our community who supported us along the way. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. 💙

But we’re not done having fun just yet! 🎉 For the rest of September, we’re dropping our prices!

Fatal Traffic Crash Under Investigation

On Wednesday, September 9, just before 4:45 p.m., the Loveland Police Department responded to a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Eisenhower Boulevard and Madison Avenue.

A Nissan Rogue, driven by a 38-year-old Loveland resident, was traveling eastbound on Eisenhower Boulevard when it crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound Ford Explorer driven by a 36-year-old Greeley resident.

Preliminary findings indicate the Nissan driver may have lost consciousness while traveling eastbound, causing the vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic.

The Nissan driver was unconscious and not breathing when first responders arrived. Life-saving measures were initiated before the driver was transported to the hospital, where the driver was later pronounced deceased.

The Ford Explorer driver suffered minor injuries and received treatment before being released.

Possible impairment involving drugs and/or alcohol remains under investigation and may have contributed to the crash. Speed does not appear to have been a factor.

Due to the severity of the incident, the Loveland Police Department CRASH Team responded and assumed the investigation. The roadway remained closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.

“Crashes like this serve as a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly a routine drive can turn tragic,” said Traffic Sergeant Jeff Mayers. “Our thoughts go out to everyone impacted by this crash. We continue urging drivers to make responsible decisions behind the wheel.”

Our department thanks all partner agencies, including Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Thompson Valley EMS and the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
