They are defacing Cesar Chavez streets and statues right here in Milwaukee and across the nation over stunning new allegations. 🛑
Here is the raw truth: Society loves to idolize flawed leaders and liken them to Jesus. But two things can be true at the exact same time. A human being can do incredible, world-changing good, and still harbor deep, unhealed trauma and hidden sin.
But the real tragedy? The silent enablers. If this was known, someone should have spoken up. Just like we saw with Diddy and R. Kelly, enablers protect the addiction instead of the person. I thank God for the people in my own circle who loved me enough to call out my bad choices and point me to Christ. They gave me the chance to repent and grow.
