Recently completed design for this new, original theatrical production that is set in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and explores the tensions and triumphs of immigrant labor seeking their place at the table in this country.

This graphic for a singer friend started from the lower quadrant, a snapshot of Fraidy Katz (Paula Parsky) riding in a passenger train.
She needed a view of the pyramids out the window and the supplied English and Hebrew text added.
Starting with what I had, I extended the canvas, and painted in the remainder of the window and partition behind her, and appropriated a decent shot of the pyramids with another shot of the sky I took myself.
A nicely un-ambiguous set of instructions to go with the client's vision is always good if they're very clear on what they want, in their mind. When I'm allowed to interpret freely, it's a different process... less is more.

I heard the call from Liz Popolo of Voter Choice, Massachusetts, that her friend Jim was seeking a designer to provide a new poster design for this original stage bio about the gilded age philanthropist/publisher who's pledge of allegiance has been recited billions of times.
To distinguish the two separate venues I used a different color wash on them. The basic design will be reused for future performances.
