We are hiring a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for managing sales activities of organization, focusing on brand building strategies and identification of potential market segments. This individual will also be responsible for revenue generation through new account development and key account management. This position will be based out of NEI’s office in Greenfield, Indiana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Must be knowledgeable about all areas of the environmental service industry, especially the service segments NEI provides to its customers
• Effectively present NEI’s scope of service to prospects
• Develops and implements strategic marketing plans to accommodate corporate goals
• Leads sales activities with the technical support from other key members of the NEI team
• Represents the company at trade shows, environmental organizations and other associated sources for business interaction to promote products and services
• Develops and presents business proposals to key customers and prospects
• Meets with key customers and prospects, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
• Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed customer base expansion
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the industry and related markets with respect to market development, projects, competitive activity and customers
• Achieves sales goals; overcomes objections with persuasion and persistence; initiates new contacts; maintains customer satisfaction; maintains records and promptly submits information
• Qualifies potential customers; builds rapport and establishes trust; asks questions to discover client business needs; applies product and market knowledge effectively; presents solutions that meet customer objectives; manages and documents sales process.
• Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; understands the organization's strengths & weaknesses; analyzes market and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions
• Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values; benefits organization through outside activities
• Writes clearly and informatively in all modes of communication; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; able to read and interpret written information
• Clearly expresses ideas and thoughts verbally; exhibits good listening and comprehension; keeps others adequately informed; selects and uses appropriate communication methods
• Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment but always adhering to proper regulations while never agreeing to compromise the integrity of yourself or NEI.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field .
• 3-4 years of related experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Careful attention to detail is a must
• Experience working with customer support
• Must be a self-starter with good follow-through, capable of working independently with little supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
• Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
• Must have ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
