Alright, so here's the deal: I've been working on my X2D for around 230 hours and these are some of the new prints I've made. The best way I can explain them is clicker "tiles" because they can fit ANY vibe. These are based on cottagecore themed. I have some mortar and pestles with this really pretty combo of a light matte green and a darker semigloss green leaf coming in about 6 hours.

I also ordered a shipment of 200% clickers AND silent switches as well. The only noise the silent ones make is physical contact between the objects. I even made a demonstration piece pictured here in my XL clicker bin and will have this at markets.

My A1 front cover broke off, but 3d printing to the rescue. It's only fitting that Heinz be the buffering cat meme! 🤣

So Fly Amanita 3d clickers will be available at our next markets and I will be working on more bookish themed clickers and clicker bases!

Dual nozzles=twice the fun and frustration. The learning curve is steep with this one but it turns out that one of the nozzles is slightly dimensionally different from the other nozzle. These are the kind of problems you have to troubleshoot when you're getting into 3D printing. We live and learn!

"Oh 3d printing is so easy I could do it in my sleep!"
But do you know how to MANUALLY calibrate a bowden extruder attached to an x2d? Do you know the steps? Do you know what to look for?

All of that takes time that I would love to not deal with but I need to do flow rate, pressure advance and nozzle offset and countless other settings. I also have to know what to look for and use my standard settings and 5 years of 3d printing expertise as well as accumulated swath of knowledge, maintain my printers and learn. Slicer software and technology are the only things that have improved over time but some stuff remains.

Don't get me wrong, I love this as a hobby but it can be frustrating at times. I've had user errors, slicer mess ups and all kinds of other things but it's really taught me to slow down and for that I'm very glad to do so. This stuff takes time.

It is with a somewhat heavy heart that I retire my first Bambu lab machine. All the prints that you have bought and enjoyed were printed on a Bambu Lab P1S. It is technically repairable and can be restored, but the repair would be far too expensive and take at minimum 4 hours assuming everything is done properly to eventually have to do it again. I've replaced a considerable amount of things on this printer and at this point, I've noticed layer shifts but I cannot directly rectify but that's okay because I have ordered a printer with better functionality, better quality parts and look forward to the next 8,000 or more hours of printing. I ordered a Bambu Lab X2D and it arrives soon. With this printer, I can print up to five colors for more customized stuff and better quality of life as well as maintenance workflows that don't take an excessive amount of time.
