Crossing a very busy September off the list 😤

The month overall was a pretty constant stream of all phases of production, with pre-pro overlapping production overlapping post. The busy season for us is typically never ending, so we’ve learned how to adapt into a good workflow that helps us stay on top of things.

A lot of September was spent planning ahead for October, which is looking to be an incredibly wild month… Lots to look forward to! 👀

The best part of our job is the process, being able to capture a living, breathing moment in time while closely collaborating with our clients.

Would it be easier to use AI? Maybe. But what’s the fun in that?

The whole point of creating is it’s not supposed to be easy. It takes work, it takes you being so absolutely bad at it for so long that there’s work out there that should never see the light of day. But you live and you learn and you get better.

That’s why it’s so satisfying to finally nail that perfect shot, even if it requires 20+ takes and balancing precariously on a ladder to get it.

Stand out from the slop - invest in content that truly and entirely represents your brand and your products. Your clients will thank you!

Over the years, we’ve found that the most captivating stories come from the people directly involved. Case studies, collaborations, and brand stories are powerful tools that not only paint a detailed picture of projects but also give recognition to those who were there every step of the way.

Ever filmed in a giant printer before? No? Just us?

The moment we walked into the warehouse, we knew it had to be the backdrop of this interview.

Last July, we worked with Koenig & Bauer on a case study in collaboration with our friends over at Morrisette Packaging - the subject? Koenig & Bauer’s massive industrial printer located at Morrisette’s Greensboro warehouse.

What could have easily been an interview in a conference room would have felt like a missed opportunity to show the reason behind this entire project within the frame itself. We made it our mission to set the stage right in the midst of the action, where the sheer scale of the printer was on display as Morrisette’s President, John Morrisette, and Dan Brunton with “The Brunton Report” discussed the partnership between the two companies.

Overall, a very unique opportunity to explore the ins and outs of this printer (literally!)

What good is having a camera if you don’t take it everywhere? 📸

We’ve found that one of the best ways to stay inspired and have fun with our cameras outside of work is taking the time to travel and explore new experiences whenever we get the chance!

The only downside of bringing your camera on trips is getting left behind on the trail while you were trying to get the perfect shot 😔 if you didn’t turn a 30 minute hike into a 2 hour hike then you’re doing it wrong!

Every photo you see here was taken by someone on our team - in other words NOT A SINGLE STOCK PHOTO IN SIGHT ❌

In August, we really put the “remote” in remote working 🛫

We found ourselves all over the map, with visits to the Grand Canyon, Moab, Zion, Upstate New York, Greensboro, and Cashiers, NC. We fit in several days of content shoots for some of our main retainer clients. We also got the ball rolling on a few bigger upcoming projects!

Probably a good thing that we got some vacation time this month…
