🌟 My Journey to Becoming a Freelance Digital Marketing and Virtual Assistant 🌟
One day, while dreaming about my future as a single mother, I found myself reflecting on my life. My beautiful daughter was spending most of her day at school and after-school activities, while I was working tirelessly. For almost 10 years, I worked as a waitress, bartender, and sometimes in residential cleaning services. I felt grateful for the opportunities, but I was tired—both physically and emotionally. My joints ached from the long shifts, and I knew I needed a change.
I realized I had to take a leap of faith. With all the uncertainty of where this new path might lead, I decided to give myself a chance and start my own business in Digital Marketing and Virtual Assistant Services. But this wasn’t a decision I made lightly. I spent countless hours studying with financial assistance programs and revisiting materials, often reading and rewatching everything twice because English isn’t my first language. There were fears, doubts, and financial instability, but I also had dreams, goals, and a burning passion for creating something of my own.
Starting out was exciting but maintaining my place in this field has been an ongoing journey. Not everyone understands the struggle of thinking and speaking in two languages. Sometimes, people hear my accent or notice when I’m wrestling to find the right words in English and Spanish 😂
There are days when my schedule is full of clients, and other days when there aren’t enough. Some days, I check off every task on my to-do list, and others, it feels like I’m just trying to keep up.
But you know what? I’m still here, and I’m not stopping. This is my passion—helping businesses grow through digital marketing strategies, creating engaging content, managing social media, and providing top-notch administrative support. With a mindset grounded in resilience and mindfulness, I know I can turn my passion into a thriving, financially sustainable career.
I don’t know exactly what the next step in this journey will be, but I do know one thing: I am here, and I am not giving up. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get closer to my dreams. I am incredibly thankful for the progress I’ve made and the community I’ve built around me.
