"I remember running down the road that led back to our cul-de-sac on a warm Miami night. Even then, as a kid, I had no understanding of my history or my heritage. I was 5 years away from becoming an American citizen, but my parents were working very hard to make that dream a reality. I’m here today, an American citizen because my parents wanted more for me and my future. This Hispanic heritage month (9/15-10/15), I want to point out that right now, there is a multitude of young parents working hard to one day give their kids the same opportunities. ¡Buenos días! Ramon here. I'm passionate about teaching businesses, leaders, and communities how to include Hispanics in their marketing strategies. This passion is why I recently spoke to the National Association of Conservation Information. In my presentation I shared with the leaders of each state's Department of Natural Resources how they can segment their approach to the Hispanic market by speaking MORE than Spanish. We speak the “language” of individual Hispanic segments when we understand who they are as a consumer. Exciting stuff!
