I never thought I would write this post.
But I need to be honest with y’all.
Art by Christy needs help.
I am currently two months behind on the rent for my gallery at 4616 Magazine Street, and I am at the point where I could lose the space I have worked so hard to build.
This gallery isn’t just a storefront to me.
It holds years of paintings, ideas, New Orleans stories, sculptures, Fleur de Lis, Petunia, gators, Mardi Gras trees, memories, and a huge piece of my heart.
And right now, I need SALES.
Not sympathy. Not a handout.
I need to sell art.
So I am opening the doors wide and asking my friends, collectors, longtime supporters—and anyone who has ever told me, “One day I’m going to own a Christy”—maybe this is the day. 💜
If you’ve had your eye on a painting, please message me.
If you’ve been thinking about a commission, message me.
If you need a wedding gift, housewarming gift, birthday gift, New Orleans piece, Fleur de Lis, Petunia, gator, print—message me.
If an original is outside your budget, ask me what I have available in your price range.
And if buying art isn’t possible right now, sharing this post could put it in front of the person who can.
I’ve spent most of my life creating.
I’m not ready to close the doors.
So instead of quietly letting that happen, I’m fighting for this little gallery and asking my community to help me keep it going.
