Whenever I step onto the golf course in this vibrant turquoise golf shirt, that's exactly what I tell myself! Today might be the day for a hole-in-one - and you better believe I'll want my picture taken! 📷

But let's get real for a moment. How many of us throw on an old, oversized t-shirt when we go out to play pickleball, golf, or run errands because we think "it doesn't matter"?

How often do we find ourselves saying, “I’ll finally be happy when the kids are out of diapers,” or “I can’t wait until they can drive themselves so I’m not a full-time taxi”? Trust me, I’ve been there! Motherhood is a wild, beautiful, exhausting mix of "hards" and "happinesses." (And let’s be honest—usually a lot of laundry in between!) But here’s the truth I’ve learned as an image consultant and a mentor: 𝐄𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞. If we spend all our time looking over the fence at the next stage of life, we miss the beauty of the stage we are standing in. Eyes are watching you. They aren't looking for a "perfect" woman; they are looking for a woman who knows her worth and finds joy even in the chaos.

𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲:

My heart is just overflowing after a wonderful Saturday! A huge "Thank You" to 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐲 for having me, and to the 𝟏𝟑 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 who sat in my chair. Watching their faces light up as we found your perfect shades was the best part of my day!

💜𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦. It was lovely having my mom as my assistant - great way to spend Mother's Day Weekend with her. Afterall, she's part of my story in becoming an image consultant.

💜𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬! It is always so much fun to have ladies schedule together. I had groups of sisters, group of friends, and a mother with her two daughters.

"Getting old sucks!".... or does it really.
As I age, I understand (sometimes daily), that getting older is indeed hard. There are new challenges and a few more silver hairs. Doesn't every season of life have some version of "hard"? I try to catch myself when tempted to complain.

Just recently my local obituary postings included those of ages 42-67-85. It certainly brings home the perspective of what a gift life really is.

My story began in the 7th grade bathroom at Grinnell Middle School. Then, my mom intervened.... 💄

I recently had the privilege of sharing my heart on the "Connecting for Women" panel, and it sparked such a great conversation that I joined Carolyn Freeman of Impact Coaching Ministries on her podcast to dig even deeper.
