…people see a finished painting.
I see the FIGHT that came before it.
Every piece CT n I create for childhood cancer awareness starts the same way… a rough sketch
…lines on paper…imperfect…unfinished... raw.
N hells bells, honestly, that feels a lot like the journey these kids and families are FORCED to walk.
It starts with fear.
Questions.
Hospital rooms.
Sleepless nights n a f🤘🏻🏴☠️kin PAIN no child should ever have to carry.
YET…little by little… stroke by stroke… something powerful begins to emerge from the darkness.
HOPE (n not a false one at that)
That’s why I create these pieces.
Cuz art has the ability to make people stop scrolling and actually feel something. It can start conversations. It can honor fighters. It can remind families they are seen…
n sometimes… it can give someone just enough light to keep FIGHTING another day.
When I sit down to turn a sketch into a finished piece, I’m thinking about every child battling cancer, every parent trying to stay strong, and every family whose world changed overnight.
The final painting is meant to be a symbol.
A reminder that even in the middle of pain, something meaningful can still be created.
That even broken lines can become something beautiful n that hope is a power that comes from within us all and needs to be shared in ways that can actually make a difference.
The finished painting 🖼️ represents Bella as she BITES BACK with a bada🏴☠️🏴☠️ battle axe sporting two shark fins repin her two besties and goes everywhere with!
