Letters of intent from the developer are typically structured to benefit the developer and if you agree to sell them your land/house and agree not to sell in the meantime, essentially putting your entire life on hold (at the chance everything goes through), and then if it doesn’t go through, and they decide not to buy your house, you don’t even get compensated for your time (even though you held up your end of the agreement by not selling to anyone else)? Seems fair.

It’s not too late to adjust the wording on the ordinance and resolutions that are on the agenda for this evening to make sure they do not come off as targeting this specific project or data centers in general.
