I’m super passionate about the apparel industry and when I first got deep into it I was horrified. Workers are treated in ways that are nearly unfathomable and the waste is hard to believe. In fact based on the exact study you look at the apparel industry may very well be the most wasteful on earth. But there is something you can do. 1. Research your apparel brands and make sure they are fully transparent about their supply chain and aren’t just whitewashing to pass audits. 2. Buy garments that are well made and will last a long time 3. Have all your manufacturing and custom decorating done as close to you as possible, this cuts down on carbon footprint and allows you to visually make sure workers are being treated well. In the coming weeks we will highlight the brands you should be considering if you are an organization that cares about worker treatment and sustainability.

Grove City, this one is for you. What makes this shirt special from a lot of other shirts? Unlike a lot of others this one was actually printed in Grove City, by people that live in and support this community. It’s also a true analog water base screen print, not digital. On top of that it’s printed on an triblend that is not only ridiculously comfortable but is one of the most ethical garments you can source in the world. Love this town as much as we do? Go pick one up and make sure you ask your vendors the hard questions about where your apparel comes from.
